York Minster gave Alicia and Max’s wedding an extraordinary setting. On one of the hottest days of the summer, they were married surrounded by the people who mattered most to them.

For me, the photographs needed to hold both the scale of the place and the feeling of being there. That meant making room for the extraordinary architecture and sweeping views, while paying just as much attention to Alicia and Max and the people sharing the day with them.

After the ceremony, the grandeur of the Minster gave way to something much more relaxed: congratulations in the sunshine, time with family and friends and a celebration allowed to unfold naturally.

Those quieter exchanges, alongside the bigger moments, are so much of what I want a wedding collection to hold, not simply how everything looked, but what it felt like to be there.

Where to begin?
We were all already raving about you after the weekend. Your professionalism, charisma, subtlety and care were just fantastic, and so, so appreciated. The day passed in such a whirlwind for us, and it was wonderful to be able to give our full attention to our family and friends, reassured by your calm presence in the background.
