MEET YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER

I’m Neil Jackson, a wedding photographer based on the North Yorkshire coast. For more than 17 years, I’ve had the privilege of photographing people at some of the most important moments of their lives - and I still find it extraordinary that this is what I get to do for a living.

Home is just outside Scarborough, a short walk from the coast, where I live with my wife Charlotte, our two children, Dax and Molly, and Red, our Labrador.

Away from weddings, music has always been a huge part of my life. I’ve played guitar for many years, previously teaching and performing around the UK, and film is another constant influence - particularly the way great directors use light, composition and atmosphere to tell a story.

I’m equally passionate about wildlife and the natural world. Wildlife photography has taken me from India and Tanzania to the Arctic landscapes of Svalbard, earning a number of awards along the way and continually shaping the way I see and photograph the world.

When I’m not holding a camera, I’m usually on a bike, watching Liverpool, or attempting to justify how seriously I take making coffee!

That same curiosity and attention to detail is what I bring to every wedding. I’m there to make things feel easy, to notice the moments you might otherwise miss, and to create photographs that feel unmistakably like your day - beautifully composed, but never at the expense of what was actually happening.
